Learn how to make Christmas Earrings

The festive season is approaching, so if you’re a lover of all things sparkly and vibrant, your time to shine is coming.

Prepare early for your Christmas parties with a fantastic pair of festive earrings. This step by step tutorial will teach you how to transform Siam, Emerald and AB Crystal Swarovski bicones into a must have pair of drop earrings.

If the traditional Christmas colours aren’t your desired option, feel free to experiment with alternative coloured Swarovski crystals, and don’t forget to share your final designs with us via our social media channels.

Step One

Take one of the eye pins and thread on 2 x siam 8mm Swarovski bicones, 1 x pearl, 1 x bead cap and 1 x 6mm emerald Swarovski bicone.

Step Two

Using round nose pliers bend the tail of the eye pin over above the emerald bicone to form a right angle.

Step Three

Grasp the end of the eye pin tail and roll back towards the bicone to form a neat loop. Repeat steps 1 – 3 to create another one and set aside for assembly.

Step Four

Take a head pin and thread on, 1 x 4mm emerald Swarovski bicone, 1 x 4mm ruby Swarovski bicone, 1 x 4mm abcrystal Swarovski bicone, 1 x 4mm ruby Swarovski bicone, 1 x 4mm ab crystal Swarovski bicone. With round nose pliers bend the tail of the head pin over to form a right angle.

Step Five

Using snips cut the tail to 1cm.

Step Six

Using round nose pliers grasp the end of the tail and roll over back towards the bicone to form a neat loop. Make another 3 of these.

Step Seven

Take a threaded eye pin, with the round nose pliers open the siam bicone end loop, place on 2 of the head pin drops and close. Repeat with the other eye pin and 2 head pins.

Step Eight

With round nose pliers, open the loop at the base of the shepherd hook ear wire, add on one drop and close. Repeat to form the other earring.
