How to create a Garnet Twist Necklace

Step One

Using beading thread restrand the Garnet strands and secure into long necklaces using crimps and crimp covers. Cut a length of chain to the same length as your Garnet necklaces and join them all together at one end with a jumpring.

Step Two

Add another jumpring to the opposite side securing both Garnet strands and the chain together. Then add a second jumpring to each end.

Step Three

Cut 5" of 1mm wire and position on largest mandrel of the bail making pliers (a wooden spoon handle will work as an alternative) about a third of the way along the wire then bend the wire around into a loop.

Step Four

Now position the Bail Making Pliers opposite the loop and bend the wire towards it forming a figure of eight trim off the end wires leaving tales of 1 cm.

Step Five

Using the tip of the Round Nose Pliers curl the ends of the wires outwards and down towards the centre completing the S-Hook clasp.

Step Six

Connect the S-Hook into one of the jump rings then gently twist the whole necklace three or four times before securing the S-Hook to the other side completing your Garnet Twist Necklace.
