This translucent gem is becoming ever more popular within the fashion and jewellery trade. Most found in Southern America, it originated in Germany in the 1700’s. Discovered by German geologist Abraham Gottlob Werner. Said to represent knowledge and truth, it is also believed to aid with improving concentration and help bring forth innovative ideas to its wearer. With a medium hardness its best uses are suited to jewellery types such as earrings and necklaces. As opposed to an everyday item that is likely to get scratched.
