Create a beautiful Opal bracelet using deep blue Miyuki Seed Beads and silver spacer details, for yourself or with an October born friend in mind. Step One
Secure a beading needle to each end of your Fireline thread then add a jumpring and let it fall to the middle. Pass both needles in the same direction through a crimp bead. Then add a silver spacer and cross the needles through it in opposite directions.
Step Two
Add two seed beads, one Opal and two more seed beads onto each thread. Take another seed bead and pass the needles in opposite directions through it, pull tight to form a loop. (Note if you can't get the needle through the Opal either try a smaller needle or simply thread without a needle).
Step Three
Add three Opals to each thread then take a seed bead and pass the needles through it in opposite directions and pull tight.
Step Four
Repeat steps two and three until you have your desired bracelet length. Finish by passing both needles through a crimp bead, a jumpring and back through the same crimp bead securing the jumpring in position. Reinforce this by feeding the needles in opposite directions through the nearest seed bead, then back up through the crimp, through the jumpring and down through the crimp bead again.
Step Five
Pass one of the needles through the seed beads around the edge of your design, then through the opal and exit from the seed bead after that. Add three seed beads, one Blue Miyuki bead and three more seed beads, then missing the group of six, pass the needle through the seed bead nearest the next Opal in your pattern plus the Opal itself and exit from the seed bead after that.
Step Six
Now add three Seed beads, one blue Miyuki and three more seed beads. Again missing the group of six, pass the needle through the seed bead nearest the next Opal on the pattern, the Opal itself and exit from the seed bead after that. Continue this pattern all the way down the edge of the bracelet.
Step Seven
Using the second needle and thread repeat step 6 along the other side of the bracelet. Pass your needles up through the crimp bead, through the jumpring and back through the crimp bead again before tying off and trimming the threads away. Squash the crimp beads and cover them with crimp covers.
Step Eight
Attach a jumpring to each of your charms and hook them through one of the jumprings at the end of your bracelet, together with one half of your Toggle clasp. Attach the second half of the toggle clasp to the other end to complete your bracelet.
