How to create a Beaded Cluster Ring

You Will Need:

Step One

Add a gemstone to a featherweight headpin.

Step Two

Using round nose pliers, clamp hold of the Headpin directly above the gemstone and bend it around the plier jaws to form an open loop.

Step Three

Starting on the central row of loops, hook the Headpins onto a loop on the ring base and wrap the tail end around between the gemstone and the open loop. This forms a wrapped loop and secures it to the ring base. Trim away any excess wire.

Step Four

Repeat steps 1 to 3 and add 4 more complete wrapped loops with different gemstones to the same loop on the ring base.

Step Five

Continue adding wrapped loops until there are 5 on each loop of the ring base (Do the middle row first as this gets more fiddly as the design fills out).

Step Six

Adjust the ring base to fit your finger.
