Step One

Longest Strand: Cut a 130cm length of beading thread. Thread on a crimp bead and a jump ring, pass the thread back through the crimp bead, pull to form a small loop and crimp. Trim the excess thread and add a crimp cover.

Step Two

Thread on the orange banded agates with a gold jump ring in between each one until you have 97cm beaded.

Step Three

Thread on a crimp bead and a jump ring, pass the thread back through the crimp bead, pull to form a small loop and crimp. Trim the excess thread and add a crimp cover. Set aside for later.

Step Four

Middle Strand:Thread an orange rice bead, a fancy spacer and an orange rice bead onto an eye pin.

Step Five

Bend the tail of the eye pin over to form a right angle. Cut to 1cm length.

Step Six

Using round nose pliers roll the end of the tail back toward you to form a neat loop. Repeat to make 25 sections.

Step Seven

Using gold jump rings connect all the sections together.

Step Eight

Add a jump ring to both ends of the strand. Set aside for later.

Step Nine

Shortest strand: Cut a 120cm length of beading thread, thread on a crimp bead then a jump ring, pass the thread back through the crimp bead, pull to form a small loop and crimp. Trim the excess thread and add a crimp cover.

Step Ten

Thread on an orange rice bead, gold 4mm spacer bead, orange banded agate, gold 4mm spacer bead. Repeat this until 85cms have been beaded.

Step Eleven

Thread on a crimp bead and a jump ring, pass the thread back through the crimp bead, pull to form a small loop and crimp. Trim the excess thread and add a crimp cover.

Step Twelve

To assemble and complete the necklace: Open one of the large 7mm jump rings, add on the jump ring of one end of each of the strands in ascending order, then add on the round of the toggle clasp and close the 7mm jump ring. Open the other 7mm jump ring and repeat the process being careful to add the strands in the same order to make sure the necklace hangs correctly, then add the bar of the toggle and close.
