How to create a blue woven pendant

blue woven pendant

Step One

Cut a length of beading thread approximately 4 inches longer than the necklace you intend to make, thread on a Jump ring and feed both ends through a crimp bead. Slide the crimp up to the Jump ring and secure with Crimping Pliers. Add a crimp cover if desired.

Step Two

Feed both sides of your Beading Thread through a 6mm bead in opposite directions so that they cross over inside the bead and you're left with one thread coming out of each side of the bead.

Step Three

Add another 6mm bead onto each thread, then taking a fourth 6mm bead repeat step 2 so your threads cross over inside it. Pull the threads tight to create your first section.

Step Four

Thread on 1 x 12mm and 4 x 6mm beads, and then pass your beading thread back through the first 6mm bead in the same direction to form a loop, pull it tight to create your second section. Repeat this whole step on the other side of the pendant to create your third section.

Step Five

Add 1 x 12mm bead onto each thread, and then pass both threads in opposite directions through a 6mm bead and pull tight. Thread on another 6mm bead to each side and then finally pass both threads in opposite directions through the last 6mm bead.

Step Six

You can now add any other beads and a clasp onto the beading thread to create the rest of your necklace. Complete the look with a drop at the bottom by adding a 12mm bead onto a head pin and securing it to the original Jump ring using a wrapped loop.
