Step one

Take the light and dark green 6mm jump rings from the kit. Make 2 sets of open rings and 2 sets of closed. Take an open light jump ring and add on two closed dark jump rings and close. Add a piece of wire, a paper clip or key ring clasp to the single light jump ring to mark the end.

Step two

Take an open light jump ring and add to the two dark jump rings adding two more dark closed jump rings, then close. Add another open light jump ring to the four dark.

Step three

Take the end two dark jump rings, fold them back and push the inner circles to the top of the light jump rings.

Step four

Separate the two light jump rings and add an open light jump ring to the centre dark jump rings and close. Add another open light jump ring to the two dark and close.

Step five

Add an open dark jump ring to the end two light jump rings, add two more closed light jump rings then close. Add another dark jump ring to the four light.

Step six

Fold the top two light jump rings over and push the inner circle to the top.

Step seven

Separate the two dark rings and add two dark open rings to the light jump rings and close.

Sep eight

Add a single light open jump ring to the end two dark jump rings and close. Make five of these Byzantine connectors.

Step nine

Take a 15cm length of silver coloured wire, make a wrapped loop at one end.

Step ten

Thread on a Variscite round, 1 closed light green 5mm jump ring, 1 Variscite round, 1 closed dark green jump ring, 1 Variscite round, 1 closed light green jump ring.

Step eleven.

Make a wrapped tool at the end. make six of these gemstone connectors.

Step twelve

To construct the necklace, take a gemstone connector, add a silver coloured jump and lobster claw clasp to one end. Add a Byzantine connector to the other end using the single light green jump ring.

Step 13

Continue to connect the gemstone sections to the Byzantine until all are added. Finish by adding a silver coloured jump ring.
